Kat VanCleave is an Award-Winning Filmmaker & Artist.

I’m Kat! — a Writer/Director, Production Designer & all-around Creative Mess-Maker.

I’m inspired by all things gorgeously human. I believe in empathetic design and graceful solutions to complex problems. I love to play with narratives imbued with surrealism, complex character arcs & jump at any opportunity to speak with color.

To date, I have helmed the designs of 40+ films including feature films, short films, TV pilots, web-series, music videos and branded content. I have had the esteemed honor to collaborate with industry leaders like Destry Allyn Spielberg, Google, NVIDIA, HBO & Gensler to name a few.

Currently, I’m developing 3 narrative works (a short film, feature length film & episodic) while working tirelessly to familiarize myself with the complex world of AI. I know that as artists and filmmakers we face an immense challenge ahead of us and I am confident that we will rise and rally as we always do to create, learn and grow into positive agents for change. I am ready to begin telling what could be one of the most incredibly stories of humans + technology that we ever see.
